Have you finished your degree this summer?

While it might not have been what you expected from your last year at University, everyone at the Careers Service wishes you huge congratulations for reaching the end of your studies. It’s a fantastic achievement and we hope you are proud of that.

Careers Support for Graduates

Don’t forget that as a graduate of the University of Bristol you can make use of all our careers support for up to three years after the end of your studies.

The graduate job market, much like the wider economy, has taken a big hit this year due to the effects of COVID-19, but many employers are still looking to recruit graduates. Whether you’re planning on work or further study as your next step, the Careers Service is here to help you find and apply to opportunities.

Advice, Events and Opportunities

We’re now offering all our services online so it’s just as easy for you to access support when you’re at home as it is when you’re in Bristol.

You can book a place on any of our webinarsQuickfix recordings and much more via mycareer. If you would like one-to-one support, you can book a telephone or Skype appointment with a Careers Adviser by asking us a question online.

You also keep full access to mycareer so you can view our online resources and vacancies listings where you can find graduate roles, including many with immediate start dates.

Extra support if you’ve just finished an undergraduate degree

We know  it’s particularly tough if you’re about to take your first steps into the wider job market, so if you’ve just completed your undergraduate degree at Bristol, and are resident in the UK, you also are eligible for our enhanced BristolGrad support package.

In addition to our usual support, BristolGrad gives you one-to-one careers support from a dedicated Careers Consultant who specialises in helping recent graduates. Whether you know exactly what you want to do or are just starting to think about your career plans, you can receive tailored advice and guidance to help you get your career started.

Contact us by asking a question online quoting ‘BristolGrad2020’ to get started.

What are you doing next?

Whatever your next steps might be, we would love to hear about your plans. Letting us know what you’re doing next helps us to provide you with the best service possible, so please fill in this short survey about your career plans and whether you require support from us to take your next steps.
